Danny Katz
Founder and CEO

Danny Katz, a Veteran of the United States Navy, earned his B.S.B.A. with a major in Accounting from Florida International University. Danny is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive senior management experience in the grocery and distribution industries. His experience was gained through such prestigious companies as Hi-Grade Foods, Ryder Systems, Inc. and the international accounting firm, Laventhol and Horwath, where his major clients included supermarket chains and hospitals. His experience with bar coding and inventory management, particularly the successful development and implementation of computerized order entry systems, propelled him to found DBK Concepts, Inc. in 1988. DBK has flourished and maintains an industry leadership position.

Danny is a member of both the American Institute and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves the community as an executive board member and financial advisor to his temple and is a charter member of Florida International University's Council of 100 and works closely with FIU's School of Engineering. Danny was a finalist for the 2001 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the 2002 and 2003 Cutting Edge Award, and was inducted into the 2005 FIU Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. He has also been awarded a key to the City of Miami. In addition, Danny acts as a business advisor to the Coconut Grove Theater.

Luis Barroso initially established his career in the food industry. His detailed knowledge of computers and administrative experiences led him to the position of Vice President of MIS for Associated Grocers. After serving at Associated Grocers for over 16 years, Mr. Barroso joined DBK. A a part of the DBK management team, Mr. Barroso has been credited with setting innovative inventory controls, implementing bar code scanning systems and administering successful computer conversions. Most importantly, Luis created ServTrack, DBK's proprietary asset tracking software available to customers 24/7 from DBK's web site. ServTrack not only provides asset tracking, but reporting, detailed unit history, and logistics information. Through DBK's success with ServTrack we have expanded into the logistics industry providing staging and rollout services for clients with such needs. Luis's dedication to improving DBK is the core of our success and expansion into the logistics sphere.

Eric Katz is a graduate of the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida. He spent many years learning the facets of the bar coding industry before joining the DBK team. Eric continually investigates the latest convergent technologies through manufacturers' training courses. Eric's primary achievement has been the improved operations productivity through the introduction of supplementary procedures in the warehouse, quality control, and shipping and receiving departments. Because of Eric's efforts, DBK now has integration services that are unparalleled in the industry.

Rene Rodriguez graduated form Florida International University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in digital electronics. Mr. Rodriguez holds certifications in both batch and RF scanning systems and continues to expand his certification status through on-site training and certifications courses offered by DBK's manufacturing business partners. He is also responsible for the in-house training of technicians in the data collection field. In addition, he designs customized hardware systems to meet specified configurations and applications as required by our customers. Mr. Rodriguez has widespread experience in identifying correct peripherals in interfaces for various computer systems including wireless, networking, bar coding, POS transaction terminals, mainframes and PCs.

Thomas Mann graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in accounting. After obtaining his CPA certificate, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant with the international accounting firm of Laventhol and Horwath and then as a partner in his own local firm of Mann and Safchik, Certified Publice Accountants. Tom came to DBK to serve as CFO over seven years ago and has contributed greatly to the operational success of the company.

Sylvia Galvis has worked for DBK Concepts, Inc. since it was founded in 1989. Mrs. Galvis drives both Customer Service and Operations. Sylvia represents the heart of DBK. Her dedication to excellent customer service and true concern for quality products and operation have significantly contributed to DBK's success and growth. Sylvia has an unrivaled understanding of the Auto ID, AIDC industry which gives DBK an advantage over our competitors. With so many years of experience in data collection, Sylvia knows the ins and outs of legacy equipment and the repairs thereof as well as having a great knowledge base for the new technology that is entering the industry, like RFID. With dedicated employees like Sylvia behind the scenes at DBK, DBK contiues to offer the best, quality service in the industry.
