Maintenance and Repair Services are the cornerstone of DBK’s business. We offer extended warranties and can refurbish or upgrade your existing equipment to extend its usable life, saving you considerable money over buying all new equipment. DBK has been helping organizations lower their internal costs, overhead and frustration for more than 20 years. In that time, we've learned a thing or two about bar code scanner break-fix repair. We provide repairs on the following manufacturers' equipment: Comtec, Cronos, Fujitsu, LXE, PSC, Symbol, Telxon, Verifone and more...just ask and we'll let you know if we can do it.

SERVICE CONTRACTS

DBK offers several customizable service contracts to suit your individual needs.

DEPOT EXPRESS SERVICE:

Maintaining a stock of your equipment in our warehouse facility allows DBK to guarantee the return of your equipment in 24 hours or less when you use the “DBK Depot Express” service contract. Along with an “Equipment Repair Log” provided by DBK, you will send your damaged equipment in for immediate service. Including 100% parts, labor, and shipping costs to and from your location, this program helps to minimize loss of production that would otherwise occur with a leisurely repair service. Once the unit is repaired by our manufacturer certified technicians and is put through vigorous testing by our Quality Control Department, the unit is then delivered to your depot. Each unit will be shipped to you using our customized foam shipping containers, which virtually eliminate any “out of box” failures. Based on a product model/per unit, the service cost may be invoiced on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis. This contract may be customized by removing the "express", making the turnaround time 3-5 days.

FULL SERVICE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT:

At one low price, the “Monthly Maintenance” service contract covers 100% parts and labor including return, airfreight, and customized shipping containers with a 3-5 day turn around time. The customer sends units to the DBK repair facility along with an “Equipment Repair Log” that we provide. Once received by DBK, our manufacturer-certified technicians will repair the unit(s) and then send it to our Quality Control Department to be tested. Each unit will then be shipped back to the customer using our customized foam shipping containers virtually eliminating any “out of box” failures. The service cost is based on quantity and product model.

FLAT RATE REPAIR:

The “Flat Rate” repair service includes 100% parts and labor for a pre-set rate with a 3-5 day turn around time. Simply send damaged units to our repair facility along with the “Equipment Repair Log” provided by DBK. Upon request, DBK will contact you before repairing to discuss options such as cost of parts and labor. Our manufacturer-certified technicians will repair the equipment and send it to our Quality Control Department where it must pass a series of tests before being sent back to you. Repaired equipment will then be delivered to you via airfreight using our customized foam shipping containers that virtually eliminate “out of box” failures, which you will be billed for. The Service Cost will be determined based on product model and quantity.

TIME AND MATERIALS:

Paying for the time and parts needed is often the best option for those who have low volume and fast/easy to repair problems. Our “Time and Materials” service contract is based on $75/hr with no minimum charge plus the cost of parts and shipping. Send damaged units to the DBK repair facility along with the provided “Equipment Repair Log” and our manufacturer-certified technicians will repair the equipment and send it to Quality Control to pass a series of tests before being returned to you. This takes approximately 3-5 business days. Upon request, DBK will contact you before repairing to discuss options regarding cost of parts and labor. All repaired equipment is sent returned via airfreight using our customized foam shipping containers that virtually eliminate “out of box” failures.
